Select the campsite carefully:

The next thing you need to take into your consideration is your camping site where you will be pitching your tent. Your tent location really matters to keep yourself dry on a rainy day.

Make sure that your tent pitching area or ground is high and there are threes over the tent. These trees will help you to set a rainfly over your tent. You should avoid lower areas as they can become easily saturated with heavy rain. So, select a high ground that will make you feel safe and comfortable.

Apart from that, the valleys are considered the coldest and wettest area. If you want to set your tent in a canyon valley or river bed, then keep in mind that you have to pitch your tent above the safety mark to be safe in case of a sudden flood.

Consider tarps:

In order to remain dry on a rainy day, you should take some pieces of tarp with you. You need to lay the tarp underneath your tent over the ground. It will work as a barrier between your body and the ground. Besides, it will make you feel more comfortable and let you sleep well.

You can use these products to make your gears such as shoes, backpack waterproof. The process may take time though.

Apart from that, there is another benefit of waterproofing your gears. The durability of your gears will get increased. You will be able to save a good amount of money.

A waterproof fire starter can play an important role to keep your tent dry. I think you can guess what I am trying to mean. If you have a dry tent, it will offer you to stay dry. In this case, make sure that you are bringing a waterproof fire starter. Because the regular ones will not work if they get wet.

Take some fast-drying clothes:
